So yummy and a great way to start off our weekend together!
Friday morning we decided to do a little sight seeing.
We came up on this little deli on our walk to the carriage ride.
We enjoyed a carriage ride around the city. So cool to hear about the history and special places.
This was where the movie Forrest Gump was filmed. They removed the bench because people were wanting to take pictures on it and were holding up traffic.
This is the restaurant where Jennie worked at in the movie.
When we arrived back at the hotel, there were roses waiting for me. A dozen - one for each year. So sweet and thoughtful!
We ate dinner at The Old Pink House Friday night. It is an old mansion that they say is haunted. Food was delicious and our server was awesome!
After dinner, we sat in the park and just enjoyed the time together. We watched bag pipers play and graduates having fun after their graduation.
Saturday morning we ate breakfast at B Matthews. Oh my goodness! So yummy!!
We then did a little shopping on River Street.
Of course we had to visit River Street Sweets for some pralines!! Delicious!
Tieg needed some new t-shirts so as we got up to the counter and I asked if there were any sales on the shirts. This gal says I'll give you my employee discount and pay with your money if you will buy me some beef nachos. We said Deal and Tieg headed out to get her the order!
So sweet of her to help us out!
It was a good day for the Reeders on River Street!
Love Love Love these steps that were right next to our hotel.
Our view from the hotel room.
After our shopping spree, it was time for some chill time by the pool. Our hotel didn't have a pool, so we took the shuttle to the sister property to enjoy the pool. We had so much fun and met some really cool people from Jersey. One lady shared Tieg and Maddox's birthday, and one guy had Grayson's birthday. So cool.
After missing the shuttle twice, we caught it the third time and headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. We ate at Alligator Soul and Oh My Goodness, it was Delicious! If you ever visit Savannah, you must eat there! So good! This was waiting for us on the table. So sweet! Tieg had antelope for dinner and I enjoyed a delicious steak. Again, the food was amazing!
Twelve years baby!! What!! What!!
Beautiful view over the river.
Sunday was our actual anniversary! We got up and headed to our favorite breakfast spot - Huey's on River Street. The BEST beignets ever!!! So good!
After breakfast, we headed home and were so excited to see the kid! It is always so wonderful to get away, but always so wonderful to come home too!
TWELVE YEARS - A DOZEN YEARS!
June 2, 2001 was one of the happiest days of my life!! I giggled through our entire ceremony. The day I had dreamed about came true! I married the man of my dreams and I am so blessed to share this life with him!
