2012

The New Year is here and I've can't believe it! 2012 is going to be a big year for the Reeder Fam! I love the feeling of a new year, but it also comes with dread as another tax season is here. I am not good at making resolutions. Well I am good at making them, just not at keeping them. I try every year and never succeed. I know this year will bring it's many challenges with a new baby. Especially with his arrival during the most stressful and busiest time of year . . . tax season. I think I will be focusing on Survival instead of goals or resolutions. I love fresh starts and I am so excited about filling my new planner with all that lies ahead for our family. This year I would like to follow Sharon and choose a word or words to live by. For 2012, I am claiming Peace and Contentment.

Let me back up a minute. We have had the same stocking hangers for about 5 years. They spell out PEACE. We are a family of four, but there are 5 letters in peace. I have always hung a stocking for Annie our 9 year old beagle. Each year (prior to this year) as I get them out and hang the stockings, I always wondered if I would be able to hang another child's stocking instead of the dog's stocking. Well, 2012 will be the year that I will have PEACE that my family is complete. PEACE - "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the PEACE of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6,7

"Therefore, having justified by faith, we have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." - Romans 5:1

Peace will be what I seek through the Lord each day as I face the daily struggles. I am going to strive to be a better wife, mother, sister and daughter while maintaining peace. I look forward to getting into God's word daily and praying for my children throughout the year of 2012 and always.

Goals for 2012: Grow Closer to the Lord in my spiritual journey. Be a Better Mother to my children while keeping my patience.
Keep my car cleaned out. - If you know me well, then you know this is not easy for me.
I would love to start running again after the baby is born. We will see how this goes. I am Not a runner, but will always strive to be.
This next one is a big goal and undertaking . . . I would love to have all photos in books and organized by the end of the year. Lots to catch up on there.
