Fishing Tournament

The day before school started there was a Professional Fishing Tournament at Lake Lanier. On the final day of the tournament, they came to Gwinnett Arena to weigh in their catches. We took the kids out for the day to see the fishermen and the exhibits. We had so much fun!! Grayson got to play a fishing game where it felt like he was really catching a big fish. He loved it! I think Tieg had fun with it too! We then went to the live pool of fish and let the kids try catching a fish there. He then gave the rock climbing wall a try. We also did a boat simulator and then headed over to the weigh in to see the fishermen come in and weigh their catches. It was so much fun! This was the set up in the arena with the boats and fishermen! It was pretty amazing! A great way to spend the day with my boy before his big day of school! Poor little thing - they were giving away a bass boat and he had his heart set on us winning it. It was pretty cute but it was difficult for him to understand why we walked away without a boat.
