First Day of Kindergarten

Well the time has come, and my little boy has started big school! Tieg, Kinsley and I took him on his first day. He walked right in and wasn't nervous at all. We are so happy to be at a wonderful school and so blessed to have an amazing teacher. His teacher and I grew up in church together when we were in elementary/middle school. We lost touch over high school and college and have now reconnected through school. I am looking forward to a wonderful year and I know that he is in good hands. I was so ready for him to start Kindergarten, and I know that we made the right decision by holding him back a year. I just still can't believe that my baby is in big school. Even though I was excited about this day, I couldn't hold back the tears. Tieg and I got in the car and he started talking about how fast Grayson is growing up, and the tears started flowing. I got home and had a hard time for a little bit, and then I received an email update from a wonderful friend who works at the school. That made my day so much better.

I seriously prayed all day long. I knew he was in good hands, but at the same time I couldn't do anything but worry. I have never been so happy to see his sweet face then when he stepped off the bus that afternoon.

I think this smile tells me that he had a GREAT day!
