Labor Day weekend kicked off with a camping trip to the lake!
Let me first tell about Christy and Matt. Christy and Matt have hearts of gold and have been unable to have children. They weren't actively looking to adopt, but they found out about two kids from Matt's parents' hometown that were going through hard times and needed a home. Christy and Matt began praying about these children and built a relationship with them. In the summer, their Dad came back into the picture and he cared for them for about two weeks and then made the decision to give up his parental rights. The children went to Christy and Matt's and they were granted custody. After six months, these children will be adopted and they will be a forever family unit.
We have prayed for a long time for these children, and it has been awesome for my kids to see the power of prayer! Grayson and Kinsley were so excited to meet their new cousins. We had a camping trip planned for Labor Day weekend and Christy and Matt decided to come for a visit. They loaded up and headed for the lake. We had a great day together!
