The First Grade had a Famous American program at school. The students had to research a famous American and make a power point presentation. They also had to get on stage and say who they were and what they did in history. Grayson was Theodore Roosevelt. Grayson's speaking part was, "I am Theodore Roosevelt. I am famous for opening national parks." He did amazing! 
All of first grade got on stage and sang, "Proud to be an American." Something about children singing gets me every time and it made me tear up. So sweet! He got to hold this poster up during part of the song. All of the kids were so cute and did awesome! 
After the program, we went to his classroom to see a poem that he created. He also shared his power point project with us.
