Elf on the Shelf
The author of The Elf on the Shelf, Chanda Bell attends our church and she made time to sign books one Sunday after service. She is such a sweet lady and her story is amazing. Her mom had an elf growing up and she started the tradition with her kids. Chanda and her mom co-wrote a book together. They couldn't get a publisher to publish it, so they decided to create a publishing company and they published the book on their own. The book tells the story of an elf that comes each day to watch the kids behavior. The elf then flies back to the North Pole each night to report to Santa. When the elf comes back, he lands in a different spot to watch the kids for the next day. My kids have loved having an elf for the last three years. The book and elf became a huge hit and this year they produced The Elf's Story which aired on national television. She is such a humble lady that has definitley brought magic to the holidays with the elf.
Chippy is the elf from The Elf's Story. He made a visit to church and Kinsley was so excited to see him!
Grayson named our elf Frenzy several years ago. This year Frenzy got into some mischief when he made this mess on the kitchen table the night before the Georgia/Georgia Tech game.
He also took the ornaments out of the canister and hid in there to watch the kids for the day.
He also made a mess in the bathroom with toilet paper. Unfortunately, I forgot to get a picture. The kids love to wake up and find Frenzy each morning.
