Joy of Love - Day 7

GENERATIONS -

Generations are very important to me. This past year I lost my beloved Great Grandmother. She made FIVE generations on my side of the family. She was an incredible woman who never drove a day in her life, and birthed all four of her babies at home. Granny lived longer than two of her own children. She saw so much in the world and she also became a preacher. She was a very religious woman who shared the gospel with everyone she came in contact with. Granny always made us laugh. When you would talk to her on the phone and she was done talking, she would hang up the phone as she was saying goodbye. You could just hear her voice trickling away as you heard the phone hang up. She never gave you the chance to say bye. She lost her hearing and everytime it was time to say the blessing before a meal, she would always be talking right through the prayer. I miss her! She was 103 years old when she passed. Wow - 103 years!
Here is Granny holding Grayson when he was only a few weeks old.
This picture was taken of the five generations on Mother's Day of 2005. Granny with Kinsley. I LOVE this picture of her!! Look how happy she was holding my sweet baby! She was 99 years old in this picture. The Generations today . . .
Here is my Great Granny's daughter - My Nana, her daughter - My Mom, and me with my precious daughter.

This past year, Tieg lost his only living grandparent, his beloved Maw Maw. She was a little firecracker! She had eight children - 7 girls and 1 boy. She had a laugh that was contagious and when she hugged you, you could feel her strength and love. I seriously want to be like Maw Maw. She was always so positive and never let things get her down.
This picture was taken on Thanksgiving Day in 2004 in Maryland.
