Tieg and I collaborated on the following post . . . Here are our lessons learned from our Disney Experience . . .
1. Melissa and the heat/humidity don't get along. I SWEAT . . . A LOT!! I looked around and didn't see anybody sweating as bad as I was.
2. Grayson is at the awkward age to be going into the women's restroom.
3. Your children aren't as bad as you think they are.
4. I didn't realize that Disney had so many 5 star restaurants.....or at least the prices on the menus qualified them as such.
5. I don't know why Dumbo is such a popular ride. There are 19 more rides just like it in the park.
6. Disney is a Great place to people watch.
7. Disney is a magical place - no matter how old you are!
8. Great idea we saw - putting Masking tape with your cell phone number on your kid's back in case they get lost.
9. Don't be afraid to ask questions - that is if you can understand the person's English that replies.
10. Save a bunch of money and skip the parks - take your kids to the pool. That was their favorite part of the trip!
11. FastPass is definitely the "ticket". Another must, is to ask for a "parent pass" if each parent wants to ride with their child. The first parent goes and then you are able to use the FastPass line with the parent pass.
12. Disney employs more senior citizens than Wal-Mart.
13. The lines to meet a character are longer than the lines to ride a ride. Make sure you reserve character meals to make the most of your time (Chef Mickey's is awesome)!
14. Be sure to map out your game plan before going into each park.
15. Lesson learned on the last day of our trip - You can give your personal camera to the professional photographers inside the park and get the same picture for FREEEEEEEEE.
16. Speaking of photography - we found out that Grayson is quite a photographer. He would grab the camera and start clicking pictures! He took some great ones too!
17. Disney World is not a flippin' "small world after all".
