I just witnessed one of the sweetest things. I layed Kinsley down for bed and passed by Grayson's room. Tieg was kneeling on one side of the bed and Grayson was on his knees on the other side of the bed with his hands under his chin. As I stood in the hallway to listen, Grayson was saying the Lord's prayer and had Tieg repeat after him! It was precious! He knows the entire Lord's prayer including all the big words and said it before dinner the other night. When I tried to video him doing it, of course he wouldn't cooperate. It is so great to see him talk to the Lord each night.
As I was laying Kinsley down to bed last week, we had had one of those days of her being two and she was ready for bed. When I asked her what she wanted to thank Jesus for, she looked up at me and said, "You and broder (brother)." It was absolutely precious and made me forget all the battles we had had during the day. It completely melted my heart! I asked Grayson what he wanted to thank Jesus for, and his response was candy!
Before dinner a couple of weeks ago, Grayson taught us how to catch a star by clapping our hands above our heads and then tucking it under our chin. This is the routine before we can say the prayer at the dinner table.
Seeing your children pray is so amazing! It makes me realize how fast they are growing up, but it also makes me so thankful that they already have a concept of the power of prayer, and talking to their Lord every night.
