Sissy's First ER Visit

Sissy took a bad fall at playgroup today. Kinsley and Grayson were playing and she tripped over his foot and landed on the corner of a wooden box. It hit directly on her eyelid. I immediately grabbed her up and Erin headed out for some ice. Erin was awesome and calmed her down and placed a cold compress on it. Erin was fabulous and remained strong for me! I don't know what I would've done without her and Dustin for their help! Once we looked closer, it looked like it punctured her eyelid and she also had a large scratch. It didn't look like it needed stitches, but my pediatrician encouraged me to take her to the ER so they could take a look at it. So my dad was great and met me there. He made fun of me the whole time for having my camera! It was in my purse from father's day - I promise! The doctor cleaned up her eye and then put dye in it to make sure there wasn't any damage to the cornea and everything looked fine. Thank goodness! I was so proud of my little girl - she was so good for the doctor. She didn't even whimper while he examined her and did the dye test. Guess having an older brother makes a little girl tough!

Oh my goodness!! Erin told me I missed all the action at play group. Her poor little eye! I know you were freaked out b/c I just went through the same thing with Ethan about a month ago. Glad everything was okay!
